Swell describes itself as a “non-custodial staking protocol with a mission to provide the world’s best liquidity staking and re-staking experience, simplifying access to DeFi while securing the future of Ethereum and re-staking services.”

So, what does it actually look like? As of this writing, Swell has accumulated a total value locked (TVL) of $2.1 billion (713,000 ETH).

Of this, 29.57% is in its liquidity staking token swETH, 17.78% is in its liquidity re-staking token rswETH, and the remaining 52.65% is in its L2 deposit contract.

Swell Network’s token airdrop for The Voyage (8% of total supply) will be distributed primarily in a linear release format, with the number of tokens received depending on the number of Pearls held.

Airdrop distribution will be weighted toward long-term community members, with this weighting distributed in the form of loyalty bonuses that will be adjusted based on a number of factors, including the length of time deposited in Swell. Additionally, voting rights in the DAO will be proportional to the amount of SWELL held.
